It is commonly not necessarily for guests to learn Balinese language, as almost every Balinese speaker speaks Indonesian and reasonably competent in English as well. Nonetheless, attempting to speak their language will practically positively please the locals, and will give a more prestige for you to experience the true Balinese life. You will discover this unique culture and some of you may be entranced by it so much, that you will return, year after year, others will check their bucket list and move on to other new frontiers. Balinese language and literature; three languages are spoken on Bali; Balinese and its dialect, Indonesian and a kind of Old Javanese called Kawi.Standard Balinese uses different levels, each with its own set of parallel vocabulary, to indicate thecaste or status of the speaker vis-a-vis the personspoken to. There are three main levels; alus (high),kasar (low) and mider (middle).
